Shit Photographers Say: "I Don't Shoot Porn."
What’s the difference boudoir and porn? Some people think the two are the same but there are several distinct differences.
The purpose of both are completely different. Boudoir is meant to empower women, and help women regain their confidence. Women come in for boudoir sessions for different reasons.
She might come in to celebrate her weight loss, a milestone birthday, or just herself.
Porn, on the other hand, seeks to degrade and objectify. It’s the literal opposite of helping a woman gain or regain her confidence. Porn does the opposite of making a woman feel better about herself.
There are no boundaries in porn. With boudoir, I only photograph what my client feels comfortable in. If she feels most comfortable in a tank top and cute panties, that’s perfectly fine. Unlike porn, nudity is not required in my studio.
Porn is explicit and leaves nothing to the imagination. Boudoir, in stark contrast, is all about a sense of mystery. Boudoir is intimate, alluring, and feminine.
Porn can damage a relationship, but boudoir images can add a little extra spice. With porn, arousal comes from viewing images or videos of strangers for the sole purpose of sexual gratification, but boudoir is often meant for just your partner.
