She was thrilled.  She raved about how comfortable she felt and what a good time she had.  Clients like this make my heart sing, but then she dropped the bomb on me.

I thought we had a good thing going.  She’d send me texts of what she’s going to wear and we’d tell each other intimate details of our lives over champagne. 

She said this session would probably be the only time she ever does a boudoir shoot.  Cue the record scratch. 

What kind of crazy talk is that? Wham! Bam! Thank You Ma’am!  Snap and Dash!

I thought we had more than a sleazy one-night stand.  After all, I’ve seen her nude, or nearly nude! 

There’s a common misconception that a boudoir session is a one-time thing. 

• There’s always themes or ideas that we didn’t get to the first time around.  Why not return at a later date to incorporate those themes or ideas?
• One of my clients says she gets new photos done every few years or so to celebrate herself at every stage of life.  If you get boudoir photos done in your twenties, doesn’t it make sense to do it again in your thirties, especially if you’ve had a few children and are in need of a confidence boost.  Looking back at photos you did in your twenties will just make you a little sad.  Instead of pining over lost youth, document how hot you are right now as you are.
• As human beings, we crave visual stimulation that is new and fresh.  Stoke the fire of long-distance love by reminding your significant other what’s waiting for them when he or she comes home.
• Lose a lover? New Lover?  New photos.   The best revenge is looking good, and the best way to move forward with a new lover is to create new memories. 
• You came to me as a bride.  Return to me as a married woman with an upcoming anniversary to celebrate.
